When Dr. Don opened his orthodontic office in Novato, CA, he wanted a new way to reward patients for their cooperation. Following our instructions is a very important part of orthodontic treatment and can make a difference in how long your treatment takes and in how healthy your smile is. That’s why he and his wife, Charis, created Tooth Tokens.

Tooth Tokens are colorful and fun to collect, and they’re not just for kids! Adults can collect them, too. And they’re not just for brushing. We also reward our patients for the special things they do for others, and for their educational accomplishments.

At each visit, you or your child can earn multiple Tooth Tokens. We’ll provide a fun, complimentary Token Bank for you to keep them in.

First of all, patients must have good oral hygiene to participate in the Tooth Token Reward Program. Braces won’t cause cavities, but they can make it a bit more challenging to brush and floss. With Tooth Tokens, we reward our patients for doing their best to keep their teeth and gums clean and healthy.

Having clean teeth and healthy gums
Arriving on time for appointments
Having no broken or loose appliances
Wearing rubber bands, headgear or neck gear as instructed
Achieving academic excellence
Doing community service

Tooth Tokens can be exchanged at any time for cool prizes! You or your child may exchange a few Tooth Tokens for a small prize, or save up for bigger prizes.

But Tooth Tokens are so cool that you may want to keep one, just for a keepsake! We even know of some moms and dads who use Tooth Tokens as ball markers when they’re playing golf.
